Ben & David visit Raleigh

Josh, Stephanie, Ben & David came to Raleigh to visit us over their spring break. We had a wonderful time hanging with them. We ate great meals, drank great wine, saw the beautiful Duke gardens, made a great seder, and had a fun Easter egg hunt. (Jeff, can you make the egg hunt video?)

Ben & David visit

Josh, Stephanie, Ben, and David were in Anaheim visiting their grandparents so they came down to San Diego for a day so we could all hang out. It was wonderful having them here with us. They arrived bright and early as we were waking for the day so we went out for a delicious breakfast together. We had an open house scheduled for that day and Ian & Judy were in town so we planned to spend the afternoon out and about. We had bikes for all so we headed down to the channel to play on the water and parks.

We set up camp on the grass and rented some stand up paddle boards so there was something for everyone.

Aaron got on a paddle board. For a minute. He was not happy. Granted it was past his naptime, but he was not happy. He just wanted off.

Aaron with me on the board. That little blip to the right is Kyle out for a swim. The kid suddenly became fearless and went for a swim. He had a life jacket on, but it was surprising for him. He loves playing with Ben and with Ben being older, he wants to be able to do what Ben can do.

Emily & David playing in the sand. They are two peas in a pod.

Aaron didn't care that he didn't have his swim suit on. He just wanted to be in the water.

I believe this is Josh & Ben on the water.

Aaron was clearly tired. He skipped his nap this day. He asked Emily for "uppies".

Afterwards, we rode over to Point Loma Seafoods for some lunch. At 3pm. It was delicious. Even better, the kids had a kids table, Aaron included. And we had an adult table with us, Josh & Stephanie, Ian & Judy. It was just a wonderful day with wonderful people.
