Children's Museum and Irish Pub

We had a fun Saturday out on the town. Downtown. We hadn't been to the Children's Museum in over a year so we thought we'd see what they had changed. Plus, it's kids get in free month around San Diego so even more incentive. Thankfully the place wasn't crowded. But it's not crowded for a reason. It's just not a great children's museum. There is a lot of space and not much substance there. There is probably an hour of entertainment there. Then again, we've been spoiled by other great children's museums in Chicago, Glenview, Indy and Madison in the past few years so it's a hard comparison.

Nevertheless, it was a fun day to spend together. The weather was great, we weren't working and could all just enjoy the day together. And we took the kids to The Field afterward for dinner. Kyle and Emily have been there plenty of times before, though not recently. It was Aaron's maiden voyage to our favorite Irish pub. Hands down the best Irish pub we've been to outside of Ireland. If you think we were the only people who would bring a baby and kids to a bar, guess again! There was another kid a few tables away and another baby, just a few months old, at the table right next to us.
Aaron waking up from his nap while we were sculpting clay
Emily creating her clay heart for her teacher
Kyle on the swing in the park across the street. We probably spent more time there than in the museum.

Aaron was hungry at the park.
At the pub
Catnap before dinner
First bite of Irish stew
Amazing!! He couldn't get enough of it!
