This week was Kyle's turn for camp. He went to a fun sports camp in Coronado that worked on soccer, basketball and t-ball. He was a bit hesitant at first to go to camp by himself, but quickly saw how much fun it was and had a blast!

Emily's week
Kyle and his Mikos
Kyle sure does love his Mikos. Emily gave him a big Miko for his birthday and big Miko has broken into Kyle's inner circle of Miko.

Happy Birthday Kyle & Emily
Kyle was born at 8:17am and then Emily at 8:23am! It's hard to believe that was four years ago! Look at where they've come from!

Little Kyle - 4 pounds, 2 ounces and 17.25 inches long
Little Emily - 4 pounds, 7 ounces and 18 inches long
The preemie onsies that Miko and Emily's baby are wearing are what they wore when in the NICU and they were a little big on them. Just like on their Miko and baby. Pretty amazing to think they were once the size of their Miko and baby!
We didn't do a birthday party, but we celebrated with a yummy cherry monkey cake (yes, I had a monkey cake tin). And the frosting was my own creation - chocolate pudding for the darker brown; whipped cream, sugar and marscapone for the white; and the light brown is the pudding and whipped cream mix combined. It sure was tasty. And the fresh cherries baked into the cake quite delicious. This was my first kiddie cake (years past have been basic frosted cakes or cupcakes) so it was particularly fun and creative.
We went out to sushi for dinner at the kid's request. And since it is down the street, Kyle and Emily could ride their new training wheel bikes. They have been asking for training wheel bikes since they turned three and we'd often go to the bike store for one thing or another and meanwhile they would rip around on the kiddie training wheel bikes. Needless to say, they were super excited about getting their own training wheel bikes this year. Kyle loves his new helmet too, wearing it through dinner just in case the sushi gets crazy.

Kyle on the diving board
Kyle had his turn at the diving board again, this time with Emily in his class. He loved it! Like Emily, he went off the board twice. What more could a little boy ask for? Pool and jumping and swimming!

Emily's ballet camp
Emily was in ballet camp this week. She had to wear her pink tutu, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and her hair in a bun. Good thing she likes pink! She's the cutest little ballerina ever!
At the end of the week, on her birthday, they had a little recital where they showed us two short routines that they worked on during the week.

Kyle's week
While Emily went to ballet camp this week, Kyle and I had some 1 on 1 fun together. We played soccer and tennis, went to the Science Center and bowling, rode bikes and saw Emily's recital. It was a fun chance to spend time with Kyle at the speed of Kyle. He sure likes to go go go! And he sure is a good bowler, knocking down a spare!
