Cabrillo with Papa & Kari

Papa & Kari are in town and we went over to Cabrillo for a nice walk and scenic view. Kyle & Emily ran all over the place, jumped off of the rocks where they safely could and threw rocks into the ocean. And Aaron slept through it.

Papa & Kari's visit

Papa & Kari came for a visit this to see us and meet Aaron. We had a great time hanging out, reading, playing Mario Cart, hula hooping and playing tennis today.

Aaron's first run

We took Aaron out for his first run in the jogger today at 2.5 weeks old. It was beautiful out and Aaron loved it so much he slept through it entirely!

Cupcake date

Emily and I went on a cupcake date. The boys were bowling and it was too loud in there for Emily so we walked around downtown. I'd been craving a cupcake for some time and I knew full well there was a cupcake place within a few blocks of the bowling alley so off we went. Not only was it delicious, but more importantly, it was great to just have some Emily time.

Puppy dreams

So little Aaron often moves his mouth or makes little whimpering noises while he sleeps - much the same way puppies do when they sleep. I told Kyle and Emily that Aaron's having a puppy dream. Emily proceeds to ask: "how do you know he's dreaming about puppies?" She is so cute! I explained to her about puppies and their sleepy whimpers and movements so now when Aaron's sleeping, Emily asks if he's having a puppy dream.

Addition to this: sometimes when Aaron sleeps, he lets out a few cries. He doesn't wake up, but seems to just have a little bad dream. Since that can't be a nice puppy dream, we have dubbed those "rottweilers".

Bedtime stories for all

This was super sweet - the kids reading a bedtime story with Aaron. Emily loves holding him and loving him. She gives him a sweet little kiss at the end of the video.
