Snowbird summer

With our season ski passes, one perk is the summer activities on site. We checked out the Snowbird summer activities last summer and they were pretty awesome. This year, they added a ninja type course to the party. And it was amazing!

Zip line

Warped wall

Spinning tables

Rings

And a tree climb (not part of the ninja course, just another fun activity there)

Octoberfest at Snowbird

Snowbird knows how to celebrate. They host Octoberfest up there each year for several weekends. We had to partake and of course enjoyed ourselves there again. We tasted the tastes of Octoberfest and followed that up with a walk on the mountain. It was cook because it was really fall colliding with winter.

Snowbird

Snowbird has summer concerts on the weekend. We went to a few this summer. After the concert, we went for a short walk. It did not disappoint. Emily picked a nice bouquet of wildflowers and we saw a family of deer. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Snowbird in June

Mom is in town for a visit and to watch the kids while I go to San Diego for work. Before I head out, we went and had some fun playing in the mountains. We went up to Snowbird and enjoyed their summer mountain fun. They have a great mountain coaster, swing zipline thing, vertical drop (bungee jump without the bungee but rather a rock climbing belay), and a gondola up to the top of the mountain. It was great day up in the mountains together.

Snowbird

Today we went up to Snowbird for a beer festival in the mountains. We took up what we call "Euro picnic" which harkens back to when Jeff and I studied abroad and during our travels with friends, we would buy a picnic of bread, cheese, and fruit to have for a meal in a park. This seemed the thing to do. Especially since we had tried to do this in DC to no avail (no grocery nearby when we were trying to do so and then a massive rain storm soaked us). We certainly enjoyed this iteration. And it was crazy to see snow in June.
