Happiest Place on Earth! Part 1

Happy Birthday Jeff!! We are here at Disneyland celebrating Jeff's birthday and what a way to celebrate!! Nothing like Disneyland! And especially with little kids taking in the wonder and magic that is Disneyland! We have had quite the day so far... (we are currently on nap break).

We first headed over to the Flying Dumbos, perhaps the kids most favorite ride here. Last time, we must have ridden them a million times! We've already been on them twice today! And surprisingly, we've only been on the carousel once. But the day is still young!

We took the kids on the MATTERHORN!!!! Their first real roller coaster ride! They made the height cutoff and so we took them on. While they were a bit hesitant about going on, there weren't any screams or tears of terror on the ride! I rode with Emily who just chilled in front of me and didn't quite say a word but just sat there comfortably in my lap. I think she was just overwhelmed and probably a bit scared and couldn't really express her emotions. But when we got off, she said, "I didn't like the eddies [yetis]". I told her we were going to go in a dark tunnel at first and see some yetis with blue eyes and then go down a big weeee. Turns out the yetis have red eyes and growl.... And Kyle did great with Daddy. He too sat there quietly and didn't care for the ride too much, but didn't break down.

Now afterwards we went on It's a Small World and Kyle totally broke down on that ride. Somehow that was scarier than the Matterhorn! Perhaps all the dancing and singing people all at once just overwhelmed him instead of just one thing happening at a time on the Matterhorn. So we took a little break...
