We have discovered (finally started going to) perhaps one of the best farmer's markets in San Diego - Little Italy's. It is fabulous! Great produce, great eats and a lot of fun. For the kids, it's all about getting yummy lunch and having "Orange-gina" (it's actually the Pelligrino flavored Italian soda, but they love Orangina as well and lump it all together). We went this Saturday and had a great time.
